Abstract:
Europeancommon squid(Alloteuthis subulataLamarck, 1798)were sampled from the by-catch of ICESbottom-trawl surveyof FRV Walter Herwig III intheNorthSeainFebruary2000,from collect surveyof RVLittorinainthe Kattegatin November 2000 andfrom surveyof FS Alkor in Kiel Bay,western Baltic SeainJanuary2001.142specimensofAlloteuthis subulata were collected.The collection included51 %femalesand 46 %males. Dorsalmantle lengths(DML)varied between25-85 mm infemalesandbetween27-98 mm inmales.Wet body mass ranged between0,6-7,9 g infemalesand 2,1-8,7 g inmales.Lower rostral lengths(LRL)varied between0,31-1,07 mm infemalesand 0,42-1,15 mm inmales.
