Abstract:
Users of the RaDeCC-system routinely measure 227Ac in order to determine 223Ra excess. The obtained 227Ac signal is more than just background. It has the potential to be widely used for water mass dating, calculation of mixing rates, or the determination of deep upwelling. This presentation aims to give an overview about the properties of Actinium and the resulting applications.
