Abstract:
Relaxation coefficients for Davies' lateral boundary scheme for limited-area numerical weatherprediction models are constructed in such a way that, under idealized conditions, the unwantedpartial reflection of outgoing waves (leaving the limited area) at the boundary is minimized.
