Abstract

In this talk, an overview on the research in the field of recent sea level changes was presented. The need for observations and predictions of sea level variations was motivated and results of the IPCC report 2013/2014 were introduced. Further topics were measurement techniques and the different sources contributing to sea level variations such as ocean thermal expansion and melting of glaciers.
