Abstract
Establishing multi-purpose marine areas in which compatibility between uses is maximized might provide chances for future ocean strategies. By distinguishing different perspectives about a prospected interlinking of offshore wind farms and mariculture we try to assess what resources are necessary for developing a multiple-use scheme. An essential element of our work is the concept of integrated coastal management (ICM), in which interests and concerns of different actor groups are analysed and included into current research.
