Bioinformatics and Genomics at AWI

Abstract

The growing mass of sequencing data from genomes and metagenomes will serve as a basis for several analyses of adaptation to extreme polar habitats on the species and community level. An overview is given over research topics at AWI from comparative to functional genomics, being complemented by systems biology approaches and proteomics in the future, all relying on powerful bioinformatics.
