Abstract
Characteristics of bed topographies play an essential role for the understanding of ice sheet proc- esses. This study uses more than 120,000 km of ice-penetrating radar datasets to calculate the along track roughness of sub-glacial Dronning Maud and Coats Land. A Fast Fourier Transforma- tion (FFT) is applied to translate radar derived bed elevations into frequency domains. Thereby, two different roughness coefficients are calculated.
