Abstract

Three landscape units were sampled on the baldwin Peninsula, West Alaska: a thermokarst lake, a drained lake exposure and a yedoma exposure. Sediment samples were analysed in order (1) to reconstruct the palaeoenvironmental conditions during deposition and (2) to identify the quality and quantity of the organic carbon that is stored. In this poster, the first result will be discussed.
