Abstract

Reflection Seismics: Applications to Climate Research. The contribution was demanded from Prof. U. Feistel (HTW Dresden ) within a student lecture on climate research. The method and princliples of reflection seismics an other hydroacoustic measrurement were presented, and how these images of the ground are interpreted in regard to climate research. Different applications for the Arctic and Antarctic climate reconstructions were approached, as well as some political aspects for the Arctic.
