Abstract

Eggs, nauplii and calyptopes of the euphausiid Thysanoessa raschii arereported from thenorth-eastern part of the Laptev Sea for the first time (expedition ARK XI/1, RV"Polarstern", August 1995).This means that T. raschii has a complete life cycle in the Laptev Sea, includingmaturation andreproduction, and that there is an independent population of this species in that partof the Arctic Ocean.
